Music Ministry Opportunities
Chancel Choir
Adults & Teens
The Chancel Choir meets on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm – 8:30pm in the Choir Room. We lead the congregation in worship each Sunday Morning during the 11:00am worship service, gathering at 10:30am to greet one another, adorn our robes, and warm-up our voices. The choir is delighted to give their best to our Lord and is diligently working to develop proper vocal technique as well as improve their sight-singing abilities. We are learning the concepts of breath support, resonation, tone production, musicality, and overall musicianship. We begin each rehearsal with a short devotion and prayer, as it is our desire to glorify our Lord through His word and His music as we seek to lead others into God’s glorious presence.
Children’s Choir
(Grades K-5)
Our Children’s Choir meets in the Choir Room on Wednesday evenings, from 6:45-7:30pm, just after our church family meal. The children explore the fundamentals of music through singing, movement, rhyme, and pitch exploration setting the ground-work for becoming musically literate. They learn the basics of vocal production, learn to sing in unison and be introduced to 2-part songs that teach them about their Lord and Savior. The Children’s Choir performs in our worship services throughout the year and are always excited to participate in special worship services and concerts during the Christmas and Easter seasons. It is our hope to prepare our children for their life-long journey of worshiping their Lord through music.
Handbell Choir
Adults & Teens
The Handbell Choir meets in the Handbell Room on Sundays from 5-6pm. We are blessed to have a 3-octave set of Schulmerich bells and perform throughout the year in our morning worship services and in special services and concerts during the Easter and Christmas seasons. The Handbell Choir also performs each year at the Carolighting Celebration that takes place downtown on the Square!
