Join us for Loyalty Day Morning Worship
Loyalty Day is a special service in the life of our congregation. During the Great Depression, the Pastor Mr. Simpson, recommended that we establish a Loyalty Day to pay off the debt on the Sanctuary. The service included a special speaker and a picnic on the grounds with tailgating. In the early 1940's, the debt was paid and the not burned.
The service continues in the life of the church reminding of us of both the Loyalty of God in providing for the Church through the loyalty of our church members. We continue to invite a special guest speaker and to have lunch in the McCown Fellowship Hall. This is always a great worship service with bagpipes and other special music. Our preacher this year is Dr. Michael Kruger who is the President of Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He is also a member of the Presbytery of Central Carolinas and a Teaching Elder in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
